The short version: the only thing we ask for is an email address, we only use it to tell you about upcoming shows, and we never sell or share it. Everything below is the detail.
Foreign Policy runs house and techno nights in Cincinnati, Ohio, operating as Foreign Policy LLC. This policy covers the website at foreignpolicy.world. Questions go to contact@foreignpolicy.world.
Only one thing: your email address, and only if you type it into the signup form yourself. There is no account to create, no profile, and no login.
Our host, Netlify, automatically records standard technical information when any website is visited — IP address, browser type, and pages requested. This is generated by the act of loading a web page and is used for security and basic traffic counts. We do not combine it with your email address.
To tell you when and where the next show is. That is the entire purpose of the list. We do not sell, rent, trade, or share email addresses with anyone.
Form submissions are stored by Netlify, Inc., our website host, which processes them on our behalf. If we later move the list to an email delivery service, that provider will likewise act only on our instructions.
Until you ask us to remove it, or until the list is retired. There is no fixed expiry.
Email contact@foreignpolicy.world and we will delete your address from the list. You do not need to give a reason. You can also ask us what we hold about you and we will tell you.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights — for example, residents of California, and of the UK and EU, have specific rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of personal data. We honour these requests regardless of where you live; one email is enough.
Our events are 21+ and this site is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has submitted an email address, contact us and we will delete it.
The site is served over HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure, but the only personal data we hold is an email address, which limits the consequences of any incident.
This site links to Instagram, TikTok, and Google Maps. Once you follow those links, that company's own privacy policy applies — not this one.
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
